Mayawaka is an original arcade game in which you play a funny Mayan character who is going to save his world from the evil hands of the lords of the underworld. Your job is to turn all the cube tops of the pyramids to blue by jumping on them, and collect totems to help the Mayawakas defeat the lords. The controls are really simple. You just make your character jump by left-clicking on the cube tops or you can use the arrow keys to move. There are evil underworld creatures (minions of the lords) that will try to stop you from achieving your goal. There are also other characters called moogs who will turn your cubes back to other color, but you can kill them jumping on them. You can also earn extra lives by jumping on certain characters called Vision Sprites. You will also find lots of power-ups that will help you complete your missions easily or kill your enemies faster. In between pyramids, there are also special quests featuring funny and original mini-games that will surely attract your attention.
The game has two modes: Adventure and Arcade. In the adventure mode, you are told the story as the levels go by and you play different mini-games, whereas in the Arcade mode, you just play to complete the map.
As for graphics, the game includes awesome 3D graphics with lots of colors and great originality. Sound effects and music also contribute to create a pleasant atmosphere.
All in all, Mayawaka is an original game that will surely keep you playing for a long time.
